Stand Down

Launch of a new online mental health charity

Stand Down wanted PR assistance to launch their new independent military charity.

Believed to be a ‘first of its kind’ it provided free and confidential online psychological support to active duty personnel and their families, as well as to veterans, who suffer from any mental health condition, directly or indirectly as a result of military combat. This not only allowed easy-access in the comfort of one’s home; it removed the stigma of having to report any problems around mental health.

Third Sector PR suggested a prestigious launch in the House of Lords to position the charity as a serious player in the field of mental health and to inform high-level personnel of its existence.

A successful launch took place in the House of Lords in February 2016. This led to interest among Parliamentarians and government officials, positioning the charity as a serious and innovative player in the field of mental health.
