Ellen O’Donoghue

Ellen is a specialist in strategic communications and Director of The Ladder Consultancy, a public policy communications agency which focuses on health, education and social equality. Ellen advises and communicates on a range of issues for clients across the voluntary, private and public sectors. With a 15-year track record of not-for-profit campaigning, Ellen has worked with clients including the British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research UK, The Stroke Association, King’s Fund and the Departments of Health, Transport and Communities and Local Government.

Ellen’s recent work has included:

· Working with a hospital charity to understand public attitudes to health across Lambeth and Southwark

· Developing communications and engagement strategies for a network of schools

· Delivering a needs analysis and health promotion strategy for a young people’s cancer charity

· Developing a research programme and health marketing strategy for a big four auditor.

Ellen is a Trustee of the charity Tiny Tickers, and was formerly a Trustee of the charity Mentor UK and Governor at primary schools in Haringey and Hackney. She has run insight and behaviour change projects across the country, with a particular focus on health inequalities.
